Mixed show for formal job creation in February

Formal job creation  showed a mixed performance in February, official data showed on Tuesday.
While net additions to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation increased, new subscriptions to the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and National Pension Scheme declined.
Data released by the ministry of statistics and programme implementation showed that sequentially 7.46% more subscribers were added to the EPF payroll.The number of new subscribers to the  NPS  scheme declined to 55,890 in February from 59,292 in the previous month.
The number of new  jobs  added to ESIC declined for a third straight month to 1.23 million in February from 1.25 million in January.
