We all know our local family butcher or optician, but some family businesses have taken off and gone national or even international. Between company growth and family members wanting to go in other directions, it’s not always easy to keep up the friendly family business of its roots.
This isn’t always the case, though. There are some family businesses that have been passed down as far as the ninth generation, balancing their ancestors’ original vision and moving with the times in a fast-paced business world. These businesses can be found in a range of sectors including food and drink, health and wellbeing and funeral care.
