IG Drones Recognized for 5G Drone at Elets Digital Natives Summit

IG Drones, India’s leading drone tech company , has added yet another feather to its cap by receiving the UAV Tech Excellence Award at the Elets Digital Natives Summit for its pioneering work in developing India's first 5G-enabled drone, the Skyhawk. The firm received the award at the second edition of the Elets Digital Natives Summit held in Delhi this month, embracing the theme "Revolutionizing Business with Digital-First Strategies."
The award was supported by MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH), a nodal entity set up under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, to facilitate MeitY's vision of promoting technology innovation, start-ups, and creation of Intellectual Properties.
Skyhawk, which was launched in January last year, is capable of vertical take-off and landing. India’s first 5G-enabled drone can be used in defence and medical applications, among other sectors. The drone can carry a 10 kg payload and has an endurance of around five hours. Pertinent to mention here that the drone manufacturer has also bagged a procurement order from the Defence Ministry to supply drones, for surveillance purposes.
